Looking back at where I’ve been and forward to where I want to go, I realized that I need to work more on Things I Want to Change, and over the course of Drawing Every Day, I will hopefully get less bad at them.
So with that in mind, I present you this:
Some of you might remember Speedpaint Sundays, where I would spend a lazy Sunday afternoon making myself fairly-to-very frustrated over the fact that I didn’t feel like I knew what I was doing while trying to paint digitally. I almost decided to start that again, possibly even abandoning my pile of sketchbooks for a collection of digital files, but instead decided I would focus on rendering light/shadow/texture with a pencil before I decided to learn to hate my Wacom Pen all over again. Walk before you fly and all that.
I don’t know if I’ll be able to do this every day, but I definitely intend to make a go at it. Here’s to another 1,000 days of improvement and various ramblings.
