Dragon-A-Day Online: Day 1,317: Redline.

On the end of an 11-hour day of Moving Art, I sat dumbly on the train and made up my mind to draw something before I got home. So I started sketching around and found myself thinking vaguely of Y Ddraig Goch, the Red Dragon of Wales.

Since I was underground I had no references, but I did a halfway decent job from memory, I think, though I realize that I forgot all the pointy bits (especially the nose, womp), and the Red even has thumbs, which I completely overlooked.

Rifling through the older posts reveals no other sketches of (or even posts tagged with) Y Ddraig Goch, and that surprises me. I don’t know if I’ll do more soon, I’m going away for my birthday tomorrow night, but considering how excited I was (and still kind of am) about National Dragons (looking at you, Bhutan) in general, I feel like I should do more of him.
