Dragon-A-Day Online: Day 1,409: Saving Face.

Had a meeting this morning into the afternoon. Said meeting mostly consisted of me trying to stay awake while people talked at a small group of us about things that didn’t matter- the meeting was mainly for form’s sake, though it was ostensibly a training session.

I started drawing to help myself stay awake, and got this far before the meeting broke for lunch:

Then I came home and since I was no longer in that strange somnolent, Zen-like state (I took a nap and woke up feeling like I could not spend the night noodling away at this dragon’s head), I worried that I was going to overwork or otherwise ruin the piece, so I took a bunch of progress scans.I ended up here, and though I left the throat unfinished (I didn’t know what I really wanted to do with it), I’m pretty satisfied:
