Dragon-A-Day Online: Day 52

About 12 hours or so ago, there was a comment on the Facebook page about the glowwyrm being an aquatic creature:

Them: Sort of like a Deep-Sea Bottom-Crawling Dragon? Glow to attract prey, then spear upwards with the (ornamental) tooth?
Me: Hmm. it’d at least explain the floating glowyness.
Them: I’d have to change my shorts if I saw a spooky glow coming up from beneath a ship and then suddenly we have a new mast and a lower waterline.

So since I adore feedback (it’s way better than listening to my ideas rattle around in my head or simply trying to process someone else’s idea, ala the Request Line), I did this:

Like the scribbling says, I’m not married to the idea of another legless dragon with stripes, as I’ve already done it before, but I do think that this creature ought to have some nonsolid coloration. The head shape of this dragon keeps changing subtly; I guess that the first time was more of a happy accident than anything.

And the sketch in the lower right corner is probably not quite to scale.
