Dragon-A-Day, Day 93

The last few weeks have been fun, but I’ve been feeling that I haven’t been making as many new dragons as I was in the past. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing; some of the daily dragons were reflective of my moods at the time (and isn’t that one of the things that Art is supposed to do?) others were just exercises in creativity.

So last night, which was surprisingly cold, I made up another Catastrophic Dragon:

I rather like the shape of the head and the shilouette. The “catastrophic energy” was supposed to be swirling frosty air, along with a few snowflakes mixed in, but I am not so good at drawing those, apparently. (I belatedly realize that they must also be rather huge, considering the scale of the creature.) I will probably go back and do this one again; I’m wondering what the hands and feet look like, and I’m not sure if it’s more “icy” than “blizzard-y,” but I couldn’t think of how to make it look like snow.

Anyhoo, I got stuff to do today. Talk to you later.

PS: For the dorks out there, I was thinking a lot about Bad Mr. Frosty while drawing this, particularly his “Frozen Frenzy” super move.
