Dragon-A-Day Onine: Day 317

So I picked up yesternight’s little dragon, and realized that it was suffering from the ravages of the Rule of Cool. There was almost no way that it would ever be able to bring those teeth to bear on anything, so I gave it a very flexible jaw while thinknig about where it might live and/or do:

I can only guess that it’d strike like a snake, with the intention of driving its incisors into its prey, the lower jaw just acting more like a thumb for gripping purposes than anything else. I also went back and gave it a decent wingspan, but the silhouette needs some work still.

That’s it for tonight; I’ll see you tomorrow, probably (I might not be near my scanner tomorrow night).

The teeth could also be something other than fangs, too. The could be individually motile, like whiskers. They could be a a tool for fishing or digging for seabed life– scoop & sift. There are a range of plausible options besides active predation!
