Speedpaint Sunday 17

Halfway through working on this, The Lady said tonight’s speedpaint (which I actually did in about an hour) was “pretty cool.”

I’m not sure why I picked the woodgrain background (it did make the monochrome a little harder to pull off than usual) but it felt like the right thing to do at the time. Messing with scatter brush settings (specifically, turning off “Shape Dynamics” produced a much larger, more spread out and randomized (and at the same time, harder to control) brush stroke, which was interesting to work with.I feel like I ought to have done something else with it, but I’m not sure what I could have done without overworking it. Oh well.

Maybe I’ll try something with solid colors next week.
