I was kind of annoyed with my inability to draw my dragon tuning towards the camera last night, so I took some time on my lunch break today and sketched out some solutions to this (apparently) knotty visual problem. About a quarter of the way through, I found myself lamenting the loss of an Eadweard Muybridge book I once had, though obviously it wouldn’t have helped all that much with drawing winged quadrupeds…
I don’t know why I never figured that out before, or why it never occurred to me, I should say, but it’s very much stuck in my head now, and I shan’t forget it too soon.
