I’ll leave out the mundane details, but yesterday’s malaise still hung thick over today. While muddling through tonight’s painting (a continuation of last week’s somewhat frustrated sketch), I found myself sipping back into workflow patterns that Iknew didn’t work, and that was really bothersome.
Then I tried experimenting with a few things, but all I really did was muddy up the image, so naturally I got rid of that, and was left with nothing to show for all that effort…
Basically, it was very stop-start tonight, and this is what I have to show for it:
There are times where I wonder if I should stop trying to figure out how to retrain myself in this way and instead focus on getting better at what I’m good at, and tonight was one of those times, probably because, like I said, I felt myself falling into old habits.
Anyway, I’m going to try and get some sleep,
