Dragon-A-Day Day 491: Shape of the Storm.

So I ended up riding out the hurricane with some friends (mostly we played Magic and watched/talked about movies and did other nerd things into the very wee hours of the morning while commenting on how windy it sounded out there, up until the wind stopped). Our part of Brooklyn, along with other pockets here and there were miraculously spared as the storm casually brushed past us and caromed into New Jersey and points south, as far as I know.

Anyhow, somewhere during Aliens I remembered that I was supposed to draw that night, and appropriately enough, I did this:

I decided that the “energy” (which i guess is just wind) would hold up the component pieces of the dragon, and that they would funnel out of a central mass, not unlike a porcelain jug, which is open on both sides. I had a long internal dialogue (and if I had had Internet access I would have probably written it out as I had it) about what the piees of it should be, and somewhere along the line, I decided on raindrops, which re mostly circular, I think. Somehow they developed claws, and I’m not 100% thrilled with that, but I didn’t know what else to do/how else to justifiably give it appendages.
