Dragon-A-Day Online: Day 618: Insomnia, Personified.

Sorry about the spotty updates over the last few days; like I mentioned whenever that post went up, the Internet’s gone spotty again, and I’ve been having trouble getting all the sleep I would like, which leads us to the subject of tonight’s sketch:

03062013 - Insomnia, Personified.

I tried to give the sleep-hoarding dragon a laying-out back in August of 2012, but I was too tired to do anything more than a fairly simple generic wingless (and I’m not sure why it had no wings then; I guess because I never drew it having them, though until then we had never seen more than its head, neck and arms) body, and even felt at the time that it needed more forelimbs.

Well, I’m still tired, but probably not as tired as I was then (or maybe I am, sometimes I have amazing breakthroughs when I am really tired), so I decided that it should have a shape like an Eastern dragon, with extra hands for liberating somnolence from its unwilling victims, and now the lack of wings makes more sense.

And on that note, I’m off to try and reclaim what’s mine.
