Dragon-A-Day Online: Day 703: Back to Business.

Well, I guess The Universe was reading the blog, because I’m feeling worlds better than I was last night.

I don’t now how it got so late, but it might have had something to do with wrestling the Blacktooth’s face.

I had wanted to draw the dragon leering at the viewer, and maybe kick around some wing/vestigial limb ideas, but turning the head gave me such a problem, I had to a Bad Drawing™ to try and figure out how that would work, because I’ve apparently only drawn it from the side.

It’s another of those moments where I realize that I’ve been leaning too hard on a crutch, so now I need to kick it out from under myself. That notwithstanding, I am enjoying the long-and-lean Blacktooth; where it was once just another squat, powerful dragon, it feels like it has more personality, and the bloodline has gained more distinction.

I might take a longer break from its silhouette, though, to draw heads in the round, because this is troublesome.
