Perhaps one day I’ll be able to see a project I start on this blog all the ay through without being derailed by life or something else.
Anyhoo, I decided to try and bring the others closer to the level of detail and personality that I had with the last sketch of Pride, and let any textual/design elements sort themselves out, if I even decided to use them.
Since I was effectively staring over, I began again with Lust:
I really wanted to use the goat’s horizontal pupil, but that just looked creepy, and the wrong kind of creepy to boot. I also spent way too much time wrestling with the brows, trying to get them to be somewhat expressive, but I think that part of it had to do with the tilt of the head:
Finally, as you might’ve noticed, there’s a bit of texture on the neck, and where the original iterations of Lust were smooth (as were of the other 6), I decided to make it something knobbly, like a sex toy. I tell you this instead of just showing it because it feels like low-hanging fruit as a visual metaphor, but at the same time, seems somewhat obscure. I’m not 100% sure how I feel about it. On that note, it’s the dragon of Lust; everything on the page is probably meant to look like what it looks like.
