Dragon-A-Day Online: Day 377

Day 1:

Our first day; we were all set to leave when suddenly a flight of Rattaker Drakes burst out from behind the eaves and chimneys of a  baker’s roof, wheeling and trilling to each other in what I can only assume was some sort of game while still others bantered among each other. In hindsight, it could have been some sort of complex social interaction where some of of them were responding or reacting to the others’ actions, the same way that we might watch a joust or duel.

Considering the nature of our expedition, I thought this an especially auspicious omen, though Flimbert felt otherwise, insisting that as even the common layperson calls them Rattaker Drakes instead of dragons, their ‘draconic lineage is definitely in question.’

Nevertheless, I could hardly let such an opportunity go by, so I stopped to make a quick sketch.

With such a fortuitous start, I can hardly wait to see what else comes our way.
