Dragon-A-Day Online: Day 1,015: A Sense of Scale.

As my understanding of mundane reptiles grows, I feel like I have to start making more conscious decisions about the look and feel of my dragons, because ordinary reptiles don’t have very mobile faces, if nothing else.  “Cold reptilian stares” are a thing for a reason.

I’m not sure where this train of thought will end, but it’s well after midnight and I worked for 10 hours today.

04102014 - A Sense of Scale.

The scales kind of became this strange hodgepodge as I tried to fill space, and I’m not really thrilled with that, which is part of why I left the lower jaw unadorned. Also, making the scales looks like they covered a rounded surface without making them jut off didn’t quite work the way I had hoped.  Ah, well.
