This may be news to some of you out there, but I am still single after a little more than a year. I have since been back in the saddle, and am back on The Online Dating (hang on, there’s a point to this).
At some point in the last few weeks, I had been fiddling with my profile and added the words “Interested? Don’t know what to say? Request a dragon drawing.” And since then, I have gotten two requests, but neither of them knew what to ask for aside from that.
However, with a little prompting, the following dialogue ensued (well, these relevant parts, anyhow):
Her: So … correct me if I’m wrong but I have a feeling you like dragons. This is my formal request for a dragon drawing.
Me: Yes, I *do* have a bit of a preference for creatures of a draconic nature. What did you want to see in this drawing?
Her: I have no idea. I’m not sophisticated enough to know the difference in dragons. I know the basics from tattoo shows. So something more asian[sic] influenced? Fire? I guess. I dunno dude. You can just show me one of your favorites.
Me: You don’t have to know the difference, it could be as simple as “dragon riding a skateboard,” or “Wood Dragon” or something like that. I’m not expecting you to be an expert here. :P
Her: …a dragon on a skateboard sounds hilarious, him wearing a Hawaiian t-shirt [link added] while doing so would make it that much more spectacular.
So with that in mind, I did this:
He is on the skateboard, just not riding it.
