One of the things that I miss from the early days of this blog was the level of interactivity that there was, even if it was largely moderated via Facebook. Sure, the blog has an FB page now, but it rarely, if ever gets comments, much less of the kind that the old one did, which were critique-ish in some cases, and in others led to pieces of art or even new dragons. Nowadays, it seems like I’m casting drawings into the wind, devoid of much of the Personal Significance that they began to accrue while this became a non-internet-based pursuit. I probably need to be more aggressive in my Internetting.
Anyhoo, that maudlin mental wandering led me to draw this.
It’s not perfect; I should have taken the raised torso more into account, but I didn’t want to abandon the face, although the eyes are not quite as expressive as I would like. Nevertheless, it gets the point across.
